Q: Why Is The Room Hot?
A: Practicing yoga in the hot room makes muscles more elastic and pliable, which allows for deeper safer stretching. The heat creates an exhilarating detoxifying sweat, flushing toxins from your blood and metabolic waste from your muscles. The blood flow is enhanced delivering fresh blood and oxygen to the muscles, the joints, organs and glands. The heat thins the blood, increasing the heart rate for an intense cardiovascular workout. You will leave feeling euphoric and cleansed!
Q: What Should I Wear?
A: The room is nice and hot. Lightweight, breathable and comfortable clothing is recommended. Men, gym shorts or board shorts. Women can wear shorts and a sports bra or tank top. You will be sweating a lot, so dress accordingly but be comfortable!
Q: Is There An Age Limit? Do I Need A Parent To Sign For Me If I Am Under 18?
A: Anyone under the age of 18 years old must have a parent’s or legal guardian’s signature to participate before their first class. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call us.
Q: What Should I Bring With Me To Class?
A: Please bring your yoga mat, a towel, water, an open mind and a positive attitude! If you do not yet have a yoga mat or a towel we sell both at the studio.
Q: What If I Have Never Done Yoga Before?
A: Every class that we instruct here is a beginner class. Our instructors offer both advanced and modifications for postures throughout the class. The most important thing is that you come to class with an open mind and accept where you are that day and you join us!
Q: What If I’m Not Flexible, Is Yoga Right For Me?
A: Absolutely,Yoga is for people of all ages and for people with all ranges of flexibility.If you’re not flexible, you’re in the best position to benefit from hot yoga! The heat of hot yoga will help make those short, tight muscles long, strong and pliable.Do your best and you will get 100% of the benefit, including increased flexibility.
Q: I Have Back Problems, Knee Problems and/or Hip Problems, Can I Do Yoga?
A: Yes, but always check with your health care provider first. You do what you can and work to your own ability. The combination of the heat and postures will help to strengthen the muscles around your bones and joints to give you more support and help in healing your body. Just take it easy, one class at a time.
Q: How Often Should I Come?
A: Come as often as you can! A regular practice of 3 to 4 times per week is suggested for maximum benefits. The more you do it, the quicker you will see and feel the results!
Q: Where do I park?
A: We have a free parking garage and ample free street parking. Access the garage by taking a left at the 4-way stop at NE Park Dr and 25th Ave. Take your first right. Our garage is the second garage on the right.
